Elena Baruk was born September 08th, 1979 in Altstätten/SG and started to dance and perform Turkish folklore, belly dance and Streetdance at the age of 9.
She also visited for 8 years the artistic gymnastics Team in Widnau STV and joined the Heerbrugg’s music-school (playing Flute and the piano) for 5 years.

1995-2000 she was modeling in the Newvision-Modelteam where she choreographed most of the shows.

In 1998 she first discovered Salsa in Los Angeles.

In 2001 she started to teach and perform at „el Cubanito“.

In 2003 she had one of her highlights by winning 1. Place at Swiss Salsa Open with Raulito with whom she represented Switzerland at the World Salsa Open in Puerto Rico.

In 2004 she became Vice Swiss Champion with Lautaro.

Afterwards she had different shows at various World Congresses with her Ladystyle group „Dancing Diamonds“ and also with Raulito.

2003-2006 she completed an additional Dance training for 3 years at Zurich’s Dance and Theatre School (Colombodance) where she has been trained daily in: Ballet, Jazz, Modern Dance, Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop, Flamenco, singing, acting, choreography, didactics, anatomy and much more.

From may 2004 until february 2008 she was teaching at the Salsastudio in Zürich. Since March 2008 she works freelance/independently.

Besides her shows she is also very famous for her Ladystyle-Workshops why she’s been invited a lot to teach in Switzerland but also also abroad.
